Shipping Questions
When will my order arrive?
90% of orders are dispatched within 24 hours. Sometimes it takes us a little longer at busy periods. If there is going to be a significant delay we will notify you. BACK TO TOP
For Irish customers orders usually arrive within 1-3 working days but please allow 7 working days for standard Irish post. Registered post is usually faster and we can track your order. The courier option is usually next working day. BACK TO TOP
Customers in the United Kingdom should allow 3-7 working days. We find post between Ireland/UK usually takes a week for standard post. Registered post is often faster. The courier option usually takes 2-3 working days. BACK TO TOP

Returns & Refunds
What is your refund policy?
Customers can return any items up to 7 days from when received. Returned items must be in as new/resalable condition with any packaging intact. What about security?
Credit & debit card payments are handled by Realex which is Ireland's No.1 payment processor as used by: Quinn Direct, Aer Lingus, Aer Arann, Daft.ie, VHI Healthcare, AA Insurance amongst many others.
When you give your card details at Strings.ie our website remotely passes these to Realex with the highest levels of encryption. Realex then communicate with Visa/Mastercard/Laser to verify your card and the response is given. This all happens in a few seconds. I'm new to buying online, help!
Ok, no problem. Most ecommerce websites are quite similar. Let's talk you through the process:
1. Finding products: Basically you browse the site for products. Our site is organised by categories that you can see on the left hand side. Click a category and you will either see products or another layer of categories to help organise the products. You can also use the search box and use product titles or keywords. This will give you results, either actual products and categories where similar products might be found.
2. Adding a product: When you see a product you are interested in, you can either click the product title/image for a more detailed view or click the Add To Cart button to buy it. You can continue shopping if you would like to buy more items. When you are done click View Cart to see all the added products. Here you can adjust any quantities if you need to. Then when you're done click Checkout.
3. Checkout: Here you need to give us your details such as name & address. You can either proceed as a guest or if you create an account your details will be saved so the next time you buy from us you can log in to your account for a faster process.
So, you'll be asked for your name and billing address (if using credit/debit card for payment, provide the address that the card is registered to). You can then select if you want the shipping address to be the same as your billing address or if you want to give a different shipping address you can.
4 Payment: Finally you choose the method of payment you would like to use and submit the order. Credit/debit cards & paypal are instant payment methods so assuming your payment goes though ok (takes a few seconds) your order will most likely be processed by us next working day and posted to you. If you choose to pay by bank deposit/postal order you will need to arrange payment after you have submitted the order.
5 Take your time: If you make a mistake there is no need to worry. We are on hand if you want to contact us either via email or phone (leave a message if we are unable to answer and we will call you back).
