Strings.ie Version 2.0 went live on the 15th of November 2010.

Previous Strings.ie customers should create a new account. 

What happened to my old account?
We did look at transferring customer accounts from our previous webstore but customers would have been required to reset their passwords & edit addresses. In the end we decided it would be simpler and faster to just ask customers to register a new account at this webstore. Unfortunately it was not possible to import previous order history or wishlists.

Why the new website?
Strings.ie version 2.0 is a big step up for our business. It not only provides our customers with a much better shopping experience, but from our point of view it has many backend improvements and integrations that will streamline our business further and allow us to move forward in the coming years. Some of the new features customers will see include:

New category list - Some customers told us they did not like the popup navigation on our old webstore and found finding things difficult. Now we have every category laid out on the left hand side so it should be much easier to find your way around.

Better product search - Our old site had a pretty poor product search which often failed to find products we actually had available. The new product search is much better and can be optimized as we go. Give it a try!

Customer reviews - We invite all customers to review and rate products at strings.ie.

Payments now on site - Some customers didn't like being forwarded to a 3rd party site to make their credit/debit card payment so now all payments are processed on site by Realex which is Ireland's no.1 payment gateway as used by: Quinn Direct, Aer Lingus, Aer Arann, Daft.ie, VHI Healthcare, AA Insurance amongst many others.

Facebook integration - Strings.ie can now integrate with facebook and other social network sites.

Product sorting - Product lists can now be sorted by price (low to high), popularity, review rating and so on.

I've found a problem/bug with the new webstore!
We have been testing the new webstore for some time trying to iron out any bugs but we won't really know until we go live. So if you do come across anything and have any questions about using the new site please do not hesitate to contact us.
