D'addario 80/20 Strings

With D'addario 80/20 Strings you're not only buying something to put on your guitar, you're also buying decades of experience. Such is the case with these 80/20 bronze Guitar strings. This alloy was specially chosen by John D'Addario Sr. and John D'Angelico in the 30's for their original acoustic string.

Why did these two pioneers of string making choose this alloy over the traditional ones around that time? Well, it was because the combination of 80 percent bronze and 20 percent zinc made the strings sound brighter in their initial attack with a more stable tone after it was struck. They deliver a crisp, warm tone that will fill any space. The string starts with a hexagonal high carbon steel core that gives the string longevity as well as excellent intonation while contributing to the overall brightness of the sound.

Great for the studio, on the road or just your garage.

These 80/20 Bronze strings are known for their traditional flavour and played by artists such as Jewel and Pete Townshend of The Who!

    Once again, great service.

    Got new strings to try and knock a tune out of a cheepo acoustic guitar. In the process of fitting I noticed the strings were too high off the frets at the head. Made a few adjustments, tuned up and now it actually sounds like a guitar.

    I have been using these strings for a few years now. I find them bright,crisp and very reliable for the tone I like. I wipe them down with a dry cloth immediately after every gig and I find that keeps them nice and fresh for much longer. I get very fast service from Strings.ie but more than that I get great personal service. I find they go out of their way to look after their customers. Paul is a top guy and I can highly recommend Strings.ie. Thanks for the service recently aa I ran out just before going on tour but I was well looked after. Thanks again Paul.

    Great to see a local Irish business match and surpass the customer service of big multinationals. My package arrived within 2 days and was exactly as ordered - and then some!
