Really like these strings and they last for weeks tone wise.. Maybe a tad too bright?.. Going to to try the original poly webs next..

The product images displayed on the web site show these 3-pack strings in a blue and orange packing, this is not the case, there is no packaging, the strings arrived in single white unsealed envelopes allowing dust grime and moisture into the string envelope, also i wanted to give a set of strings as a present but they are not in a packet! unusually bad service from what is normally a good supplier..

There is no need to give these strings a review they are quite simply the best you can buy! what I would like to say is though if your thinking of ordering your strings from STRINGS.IEthen think no more and do it. So easy they are with you almost next day and with a lovely personal touch always with them. I will never again have to do the one hour round trip to the shop in Town only to find I then have to compromise my sound/ playing because they haven't got what I want. You guys are brilliant thanks for all the help. They can do what Liam the manger of Spinal Tap couldn't do and get you Mandolin strings at twelve O'clock at night ! ( Well at lest you can order them then.)

2nd order now with Strings.ie, since being recommended by a friend - couldn't be more happy with the service. You're left in no doubt that your order has been received and is being processed. Thought I'd be waiting til after Christmas, but order shipped notification came later the same day!... and delivered two days later. Elixir Nanoweb I've also recently started using (after 30+ years of all the other brands) and have become aware of my own giddy excitement at the prospect of restringing with a new set of E/N's!... just seems to revitalise my sound an extra bit more than I'm expecting. Fast delivery, well packaged, no complaints.

I used a multitude of string brands over the years and Elixir (particularly Nanoweb series) is by far the best quality strings I've ever had. They usually last me 10-12 months of regular 3-4 days per week home jamming/practicing and I only replace them when I do recording for a demo, single or an album. These are my go to strings now, the only downside is they do not offer gauge in between the Heavy and Baritone niche (I'd like to see something like Daddario's EXL158 13-62). And, of course, service is as always top notch!
