Ernie ball Slinky Bass Strings have been a best seller for decades. These Bass strings come in a variety of gauges to provide even the most picky of bass players all the flexibility and freedom of choice available.
The Regular Slinky Bass are round wound nickel plated steel wrapped around tin plated hexagon shaped steel core wire. This combination gives longevity to your sound but also, and most importantly, it gives you nice defined highs (without being too bright) and nice rounded lows. They have a warmer sound than the stainless steels. Ernie Ball Bass Strings give you reliability and performance to count on.

Great strings for my Carbon fibre bass!
I find the tension of the super slinky 5s great for my style of playing.Plenty of weight in the sound but easy to bend. Just did a recording session of Celtic music on my Alastair Hay "Flow" carbon fibre bass (made in Ireland) with these strings, great combination, sound wicked! I'll definitely use these again.

Amazing improvement
I bought a used 5 string active bass a few days ago, when I went to try it out in the sellers house I was underwhelmed to say the least, it sounded flat and dead especially on the E and low B,the price was very right so I took a chance on it, I ordered these strings yesterday, they arrived it the post today, I fitted them straight away and the bass is transformed! I'm amazed at how great it sounds even though the new strings are still a bit too bright, it will sound fantastic in a few days, what a great result!
