What payment methods do you accept?
We accept: Visa/Mastercard debit/credit cards, Paypal & Apple Pay. Regarding Bank Transfers and Postal Order, please see below.
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. All payment pages are secure and encrypted and follow Visa/Mastercard PCI security standards. We do not store or have access to your card details.
Bank Transfers/Postal Orders
We have decided to suspend bank transfer and postal orders as a payment option. This is because customers kept using this method and never sending us payment even though stock had been reserved for them. If you would still prefer to pay by these methods we offer a credit facility. Send us your bank transfer/postal order as before and we will add a store credit to your strings.ie Account. You can then make the purchase using your store credit. You will require a Strings.ie account which you can create here. Please contact us if you wish to create a store credit.
What about currency?
As we are based in the Republic of Ireland all payments are charged in Euro. The site can also display prices in UK Pounds but you will be charged in Euro. Your credit/debit card may charge you currency conversion fees. You can change the displayed currency on the main desktop site at the top right of the website above the search bar.
For mobile site you can change the currency via the 3-line menu icon located in the top left of the mobile site. At the end bottom of the menu you will see an option to display prices in EUR/GBP.
PLEASE NOTE: The site often switches currency depending on your IP address.
What about security?
When you provide your card details at Superstrings our website remotely passes these to our payment partner's servers with the highest levels of encryption. Communication is then made with your bank to verify the card and a response is given. This all happens in a few seconds. We never see or store your card details when you buy through www.strings.ie. We are fully PCI compliant.
