D'addario Balanced Tension strings are designed to deliver an even tension across all your strings. They are based on more traditional sets, but D'Addario has studied what is the optimal tension that will deliver an equal response across the strings.
Equal tension delivers more control and playing comfort. The consistent feel between strings give evenly balanced bending, strumming, fretting, picking, plucking and slapping.
All XL strings from D'Addario are made with high quality Nickel wound around a high carbon steel hex core. This gives the string its brightness and consistency in tone and makes it easy for it to stay in tune.
