Great tool to have very handy.

The D'Addario Pro Winder is an excellent guitar stringing tool. Stylish design, really good grip, a multifunctional tool and a must have for any guitarist.

Very disappointed in this. I really didn't expect a string company with the caliber of D'Addario to sell a string winder with this very obvious design flaw. The head of the winder isn't attached to the handle by any kind of swivel or rotating piece like you'd expect, it's attached with a screw. What that means is that if you try to un-wind a string, the screw very quickly comes loose and the winder completely falls apart. I was really shocked to find this very obvious design flaw. I've had 2 euro winders that were designed better. When you use it to wind the string, it goes in the tightening direction of the screw and is generally mostly okay, but if you try to unwind any strings it will completely fall apart. The clips for cutting string and the bridge pin puller are both grand, but I primarily bought this for the winder function and it really isn't fit for purpose.

A great purchase. If you want to keep something in your case that will pop pegs, wind strings and cut them, you can't do better that this for the price.
