The model 15 are not made with a solid core, they are made of braided steel threads and wrapped with Chrome and Aluminum on the E. These threads allow the strings to be less stiff and more flexible. With this improved flexibility the responsiveness of the strings is also improved. The tone of the 15's is very clear especially on open fifths.

    The 15 is also very dependable since it will hold the tuning better and last longer than many violin strings out on the market now.

      Very clear sound, but most important is they’re very long lasting. Even the sound stays very clear after using them for a while, which you won’t have with many strings.
